UK News: No evidence of physical trauma on Greta Marie Otteson and Arno Els Quinton, who were found in separate rooms
The bodies of a British woman and her fiance have been discovered in separate rooms at a tourist villa in Vietnam, police said.
The victims were named locally as Greta Marie Otteson, a 33-year-old Briton, and Arno Els Quinton, a 36-year-old South African, who were staying at the complex in Hแปi An in the central Quang Nam province. Continue reading…

Chibuike Ekeiwu is no bruiser. He is not particularly tall or musclebound, has a friendly face and talks in an intelligent, calm manner. Chibs, as he is known, is also a patient man with an ability to defuse tension, which can frustrate the prisoners he works with at HMP Maidstone, a category C prison in Kent.
Ekeiwu leaves the shared Victorian terrace house he lives in at dawn and drives across town bathed in the yellow light of the street lamps.

Today, the UK is braced for freezing rain โ but what is that?
The Met Office describes it as โa rare type of liquid precipitation that strikes a cold surface, and freezes almost instantlyโ.
The conditions needed for freezing rain are quite specific and we donโt see this phenomenon very often in the UK. It can produce striking effects, as the rain drop spreads out momentarily across the surface before it freezes, encasing the surface in a layer of clear ice.
However, it is not just these eye-catching scenes which the freezing rain can bring; the weight of the ice can sometimes be heavy enough to bring down trees and power lines, and the glaze of ice on the ground effectively turns roads and pathways into an ice rink.
